Ajloun: Tor El Ahmar

6 bolted, 3 trad climb, and 10 heads so far.

A cliff with extensive potential for climbing, Tor el Ahmar is located just above a village in a nice tree filled area with plenty of available shade in the hotter months. Unfortunately, some of the first bolts and anchors have been stolen or destroyed. Work towards restoring and bolting new climbs in this area is ongoing.

Take the road that connects Ajloun with Irbid. When you arrive at the traffic light of Zubia, go west towards Zubia. After 3.1km take the road to the west again for 3.78km. Take the dirt road on your left for about 200m. Park and hike south or east to be on top of the cliffs. If you walk along the top of the cliffs you will come across a dirty little scramble to get to the bottom. A bit slippery from the shifting soil, but not dangerous.
